after a dispute arose regarding the balance of liquor purchased from the deceased.

Nguroje stated, “She admitted to committing the crime, explaining that she had taken dry gin, known as Big Ben and Yahoo, from the deceased. She had promised to pay the following day after settling an initial sum of N1,500, leaving a balance of N200. The argument escalated, leading her to stab him in the chest with a knife, resulting in his death.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the case while urging residents not to take the law into their own hands.
