FEC Approves ₦438bn For Roads, Trailer Parks Across Nigeria – Full List

The Federal Executive Council (FEC), chaired by President Bola Tinubu, has approved road construction, rehabilitation and public-private partnership projects worth hundreds of billions of naira across different parts of Nigeria.

According to IREPORTER Online, the approvals were granted during Wednesday’s FEC meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, disclosing details of the projects after the meeting.

The projects, which have a combined value of about ₦438 billion, cover major road reconstruction and rehabilitation works, as well as concessions for highways and a trailer park.

Among the approved projects is the reconstruction of the Ado-Ekiti–Iyin–Aramoko–Itawure–Osun border road in Ekiti State, valued at ₦159.83 billion. The contract was awarded to CBC Global Civil and Building Construction Nigeria Ltd.

The council also approved a ₦54.12 billion variation order for the rehabilitation of the Abeokuta–Iboro–Ilaro Road in Ogun State.

Another major approval is the reconstruction of the 15-kilometre Port Harcourt–Eleme Junction–Onne Port Junction section of the East-West Road in Rivers State. The project, valued at ₦74.51 billion, was awarded to RCC Nigeria Ltd. and is expected to be completed within nine months.

FEC further approved ₦54.52 billion for Phase II of the rehabilitation of the Ado-Ekiti–Afe Babalola University Road, which forms part of the Ado–Ijan–Iluomobi–Imesi–Ondo border route.

In Ogun State, the council approved ₦94.24 billion for the construction of the Ilara–Iselu Road, covering Phases II to V. JRB Construction Company Ltd. was awarded the project, with a 24-month completion period.

The government also approved a number of projects under public-private partnership arrangements. These include the development of the 7.9-kilometre Dikko–Maje section of the Suleja–Minna Road in Niger State at a value of ₦56.75 billion. The project will operate under a 40-year concession awarded to Graciatech Engineering Nigeria Ltd.

The operation and maintenance of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway was also approved under a 25-year concession valued at ₦96.43 billion, with LIB Concession Group named as the concessionaire.

In addition, FEC approved the development of a greenfield trailer park at Aro-Ngwa in Abia State under a 50-year concession. The project is valued at ₦19.70 billion and will be handled by Greg Jane International Ltd.

The approvals form part of the Federal Government’s broader infrastructure drive aimed at improving road connectivity, easing transportation challenges and encouraging private-sector participation in the development and management of critical infrastructure.
