Restore Our Heritage: Traditional Leader’s Plea

The traditional leader also appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to explore the traditional worship opportunities in the area to enhance the state’s tourism potential.

In his dual role as Secretary of the Baale Agbe of Oyo State, he emphasized the need for this call due to the ongoing development initiatives in the community.

Baale Kasali made these statements during the annual general meeting attended by indigenes from both within the state and beyond.

He remarked, “I encourage the sons and daughters of Idi Oro, both at home and abroad, to consider why they should focus their attention on our community.”

“To our people across Nigeria and even beyond, I implore you to look back at home. This area is experiencing rapid development, and we don’t want Idi Oro to be left behind, especially with the government investing in new infrastructure.”

He added, “Come back and restore your family homes and invest in improving the old structures. There’s a growing interest in purchasing land and erecting new buildings in the area.
