First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Unveils Renewed Hope Initiative Plans For 2025

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has outlined key initiatives under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) for 2025, focusing on women and youth empowerment, environmental sustainability, and economic support for vulnerable groups………READ MORE

Speaking at the first-quarter high-level RHI meeting at the State House, Abuja, she announced a nationwide distribution of 370,000 cartons of sanitary towels under the “Flow in Confidence” program to support young girls’ hygiene and confidence. Each state, including the Federal Capital Territory, will receive 10,000 cartons, with a focus on rural areas.

To promote local industry, the sanitary towels will be produced in factories in Lagos and Abuja.

The First Lady also unveiled plans to tackle Nigeria’s plastic waste crisis by launching Environment Climate Change Clubs in secondary schools and Climate Change Societies in tertiary institutions to instill a culture of cleanliness and sustainability.

Additionally, under the RHI Social Investment Programme, 250 persons with disabilities (PWDs) per state will receive a ₦200,000 grant to support their businesses.

She commended the wives of state governors for their support and urged them to continue complementing their husbands’ governance efforts.
