Media personality Miss Goldilocks has criticised Nigerians who have been focusing on the reported cost of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi’s wife’s handbag amid concerns over the country’s economic situation.

Reacting to the controversy surrounding the luxury accessory, she argued that attention should instead be directed towards issues affecting Nigerians, particularly the rising cost of petrol.

In a statement addressing the debate, Miss Goldilocks said:

“Of all the problems Nigerians are facing under this government, fuel is currently ₦1,450, yet some Nigerians are only focused on the price of Mr Peter Obi’s wife’s handbag. He is a billionaire in every currency across the world and has built his wealth over the years.

“When Peter Obi was travelling from one state to another, donating ₦20 million, ₦15 million and ₦10 million to schools and hospitals across the country, none of you spoke about it.”

Miss Goldilocks maintained that Obi accumulated his wealth over several years and questioned why his wife’s fashion choices had become a major subject of public discussion.

She argued that Nigerians should pay greater attention to broader economic challenges and issues that directly affect their daily lives rather than focusing primarily on the cost of a personal fashion item.
