11 Countries Nigerians Can Visit With Visa On Arrival

Nigerian passport holders can travel to several countries in 2026 and obtain their visas upon arrival, making international travel more convenient for eligible travellers.

According to current passport information, visa-on-arrival facilities are available to Nigerians in 11 countries, although entry conditions, permitted stays and documentation requirements differ from one destination to another.

A visa on arrival allows eligible travellers to complete the visa process at an airport, border crossing or other designated point of entry rather than obtaining a traditional visa from an embassy before departure. However, some destinations may require travellers to complete online registration, secure pre-authorisation or present additional documents before boarding their flights.

Burundi is among the countries offering Nigerians a visa on arrival, with eligible travellers able to stay for up to 30 days.

Cambodia also provides a visa-on-arrival option for Nigerian passport holders, while an electronic visa is available as an alternative. Travellers are advised to confirm the permitted duration of stay and approved entry points before departure.

In Comoros, Nigerian citizens can obtain a visa on arrival, with current information indicating a stay of up to 45 days.

Nigerian passport holders can also use the visa-on-arrival route in Djibouti, where current passport information lists stays of up to 90 days. The country also provides an eVisa option.

Iran is another destination listed as offering visa-on-arrival access to Nigerian citizens. However, travellers are advised to confirm the latest eligibility requirements and entry conditions before making travel arrangements.

In Lebanon, Nigerians may obtain a visa on arrival, although additional conditions can apply. Travellers may be required to present documents such as a return ticket, proof of accommodation and evidence of sufficient funds.

Madagascar also offers visa-on-arrival access to Nigerian passport holders, with current information listing stays of up to 90 days. An eVisa option is also available.

For Nigerians travelling to the Maldives, a 30-day visa on arrival is available, subject to meeting the country’s entry requirements. Travellers may be required to provide relevant travel documents and proof of sufficient funds.

Mauritius is another destination where Nigerian travellers can obtain a visa on arrival, with current passport information listing a stay of up to 14 days.

Mozambique also offers Nigerian passport holders a visa on arrival, with current information indicating a stay of up to 30 days.

Timor-Leste completes the list, with Nigerian citizens eligible to obtain a visa on arrival, subject to the country’s prevailing immigration and entry requirements.
