rival bandit factions in Zamfara State.

Details of Na’ballo’s Operations

Na’ballo operated from eastern Takulawa in Tsafe Local Government Area, orchestrating numerous criminal activities. His demise was reported by Zagazola Makama, a counter-terrorism expert specializing in insurgencies across the Lake Chad Basin. According to Makama, the conflict between rival bandit groups led to Na’ballo’s fatal encounter.

Military Operations in Zamfara

On Monday, suspected Fulani bandits attacked motorists traveling between Kucheri and Magazu villages. The motorists managed to escape and alerted the military, prompting a swift and coordinated response.

Military forces neutralized all eight assailants without any civilian casualties.

In another development, the Nigerian military confirmed the killing of the son of notorious bandit leader Bello Turji. This comes as the military intensifies its offensive against Turji’s network.

Destruction of Bandit Hideouts

Recent military operations have dismantled several of Turji’s camps, including those in Fakai (Shinkafi LGA) and Sabon Birni (Zamfara State). Targets included Zangon Dan Gwandi, Zangon Tsaika, and Zangon Kagara camps, as well as a school allegedly used for storing food and weapons.

These actions mark significant progress in the ongoing efforts to curb banditry and restore peace in affected regions.
