The Dark Side Of Power: Dalung Reveals How Tinubu’s Cabal Shields The President
Former Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has raised concerns about the powerful clique surrounding President Bola Tinubu, calling it more dangerous than the one that operated under….The Dark Side Of Power: Dalung Reveals How Tinubu’s Cabal Shields The President
former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dalung made the statements during his appearance on Seun Okinbaloye’s “Mic On” podcast, where he described the cabal around Tinubu as a more refined and long-standing group with extensive power.
According to Dalung, this cabal acts as a barrier between the president and the realities of Nigeria, preventing him from receiving accurate information. He recounted a disturbing instance during Buhari’s administration, where an attempt to brief the president on the country’s situation was blocked by an officer who expressed concern that the president might collapse upon hearing the truth.
Dalung explained, “The cabal around Tinubu is far more sophisticated. They have been entrenched in power for years, making them not just influential but extremely dangerous. They have a vice-like grip on the president, controlling the flow of governance and shielding him from the harsh realities that the country faces.”
He added that these gatekeepers are often positioned close to the seat of power, ensuring that only selective information reaches the president, distorting the flow of governance.
