During a relief material distribution event at the Kano Government House, Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo made a strong appeal for presidential intervention.

Gwarzo emphasized that Kano residents, particularly the youth, are frustrated with the situation and denounced the use of security forces to suppress peaceful protests. He further criticized the heavy deployment of military personnel across the city, asserting that democracy must prevail.

Backing the ongoing protests against Emir Bayero, Gwarzo insisted that Kano already has a rightful Emir—Muhammadu Sanusi II—whose reinstatement was carried out according to the law.

The Kano State Government maintains that swift action from President Tinubu is necessary to prevent further tensions and uphold democratic principles in the state.
