Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, September 17, 2026: Latest Market Update

The Nigerian naira recorded a slight decline against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

According to reports, the naira traded at ₦1,329.8568 to the dollar at the official market, compared with the previous day’s rate of ₦1,329.1485.

The latest figures indicate a marginal change in the value of the local currency against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the naira closed at ₦1,394 per dollar at the parallel market, commonly known as the black market.

However, exchange rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other foreign exchange dealers may differ from the official and parallel-market rates due to transaction margins, demand and supply conditions.

Market participants are expected to continue monitoring foreign exchange inflows, dollar demand and policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria, which could influence the naira’s performance in the coming days.
