The funding, part of Governor Babagana Zulum’s 10-year transformation agenda, supported 31,369 students both locally and internationally. Local scholarships allocated N4.29 billion for undergraduates in law, science, medicine, nursing, and engineering. Internationally, Borno sponsored students in China, Egypt, India, and Malaysia, contributing N2.32 billion. Additionally, 30 new students will be sponsored for aviation courses in 2025. This scholarship initiative is complemented by infrastructure development and teacher recruitment to support education.
