Among the notable participants was the Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, whose contributions underscored the government’s commitment to balanced development across Nigeria’s regions. His engagement in critical discussions reflects the administration’s strategic focus on ensuring that no part of the country is left behind in national progress.

At the heart of this landmark meeting were transformative decisions that will have a lasting impact on key sectors:

✅ Healthcare – Nigeria ratified the African Medicines Agency Treaty, positioning itself as a continental leader in pharmaceutical self-sufficiency. Additionally, N12 billion was allocated for state-of-the-art diagnostic medical equipment in major teaching hospitals.

✅ Infrastructure – Over 14 major road projects received the green light, covering strategic locations in Niger, Ogun, Anambra, Kaduna, and Lagos states, enhancing connectivity and economic activity.

✅ Water Resources – To tackle flooding and improve water access, an N80 billion approval was granted for the reconstruction of Alao Dam in Borno State, a critical step in water management and environmental protection.

✅ Pension Relief – The approval of an N758 billion pension bond will clear pension arrears and bring long-awaited financial relief to retirees.

✅ Economic Growth & Trade – The National Single Window Project was approved to streamline trade processes, boost government revenue, and enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness.
