Refinery and the NNPC Limited-operated Port Harcourt refinery will facilitate a steady supply of petrol during the upcoming holiday season.

In a statement released on Friday by PETROAN’s National Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joseph Obele, it was emphasized that a petrol supply agreement with the 650,000 barrels per day capacity Dangote Refinery is expected to prevent any potential shortages of premium motor spirit during this festive period.

Dr. Obele attributed this positive outlook to the efforts of PETROAN’s distribution technical committee, which is responsible for planning and implementing a strategy to eliminate fuel scarcity.

“We are pleased that Nigerians will be able to travel seamlessly during this time of year,” the group stated.

It is important to note that PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, led a successful negotiation team during a strategic business meeting with the Dangote Refinery management on December 2, 2024, in Lagos.

In the statement, PETROAN highlighted that the agreement with Dangote Refinery was the result of effective buyer-seller negotiations held during that strategic meeting.

Dr. Gillis-Harry praised Mr. Devakumar V. G. Edwin, Vice President of the Dangote Group and Managing Director of the Dangote Refinery, for his collaborative efforts and the strategies implemented to ensure the availability of petroleum products for all Nigerians during the festive season and beyond.

PETROAN expressed satisfaction with the results of the strategic meeting, noting the establishment of a solid seller-buyer relationship, secure monthly volume reservations for PETROAN, payment arrangements, and a favorable pricing structure.
