Max Air aircraft experienced a tyre burst during landing.

According to ireporteronline, the incident occurred on Tuesday night, causing disruptions to flight schedules. Fortunately, all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated without any injuries.

Swift Response and Airline Assurance

Following the incident, Max Air assured the public of swift corrective measures. In an official statement via their X account, the airline confirmed that the aircraft had been removed from the runway by 4:28 AM.

“Our crew handled the situation professionally, ensuring the safe evacuation of all passengers and crew. There were no injuries, and the aircraft has since been removed,” the airline stated.

The airline also commended its engineering team for their prompt response and assured passengers that updated flight schedules would be communicated as soon as possible.

Authorities Respond to the Incident

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) later confirmed that the affected flight, VM1605 (registration number 5N-MBD), had 53 passengers on board. The pilot and cabin crew successfully evacuated all passengers without any reported injuries.

The NCAA further disclosed that the aircraft had been moved to Taxiway B and ordered a thorough runway inspection before reopening. The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau has since taken charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Meanwhile, passengers are advised to stay updated as flight schedules may be affected by the temporary closure.
