The arrested suspects have been named as:

  • Ibrahim Olanrewaju Abdulkareem – A photographer.
  • Adetu Adekunle Samsudeen – An officer attached to the Assembly’s Sergeant-at-Arms.
  • Adetola Oluwatosin Fatimoh – A member of the Assembly’s security team.

A DSS source confirmed that all three individuals had confessed to the crime and would soon face prosecution.

A leaked memo dated February 14, 2025, addressed to the DSS Director and other security agencies, revealed that Lagos Assembly leaders had raised concerns about a potential security breach.

The memo claimed that the ousted Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, had allegedly planned to forcefully reinstate himself on February 18, prompting security reinforcements at the Assembly Complex.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain on high alert, ensuring stability within the Lagos State legislative structure.
