“The Holy Father’s condition remains critical, and as previously stated, he is not yet out of danger,” the Vatican announced. Despite his struggles, he remains alert and spent part of the day sitting in an armchair, although in greater discomfort than the previous day.

Pope Francis will not be delivering his traditional Angelus prayer on Sunday, raising further concerns about his ability to continue leading the Catholic Church.

Speculation about a possible resignation has intensified due to his prolonged hospitalization. While some Vatican officials dismiss such rumors, others acknowledge that given his persistent health challenges, stepping down cannot be entirely ruled out.

Supporters, including priests and nuns, gathered outside Gemelli Hospital, offering prayers for the Pope’s recovery.

“We are praying for the Holy Father, Pope Francis, and we hope for his swift recovery by God’s grace,” said Brazilian priest Don Wellison.

Despite his ongoing health struggles, Vatican medical officials report that his medication is being gradually reduced as doctors closely monitor his condition.
