Police Confirm Car Thieves In Coma After Mob Attack In Rivers State

According to Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, the confirmation was made following inquiries into the incident. Iringe-Koko further disclosed that the suspects are presently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt.

Operatives from the Elekahia Police Division swiftly responded to a distress call, rescuing a victim who had been stabbed by the suspected car thieves. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday when the suspects attempted to snatch a Toyota Corolla car from a Bolt cab driver after stabbing him.

The driver’s outcry attracted the attention of nearby residents, leading to a mob gathering before the arrival of law enforcement officers. The suspects were subsequently subjected to the mob’s attack, resulting in severe injuries.
