Senator Ndume: Why Discontent Is Growing Among APC Members Over Tinubu’s Leadership

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South Senatorial District, has expressed concerns that a significant number of All Progressives Congress (APC) members are dissatisfied with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, citing feelings of neglect and exclusion.

Ndume acknowledged that El-Rufai’s sense of abandonment resonates with many other party members, who believe they have been sidelined by the current administration.

“Nearly two years into this government, there’s a growing perception among members that they have been left out,” Ndume said. “El-Rufai mentioned feeling excluded, and he’s not alone in that belief. A number of others are raising the same concerns.”

He further pointed to issues surrounding political appointments and accessibility, stating that several APC stakeholders feel disconnected from the decision-making processes and the presidency itself.

“People feel shut out. There’s limited access, and many who worked hard for the party’s success don’t feel involved,” he added. “When I previously raised these issues, rather than address the concerns constructively, some responded by attacking the messenger through media channels, instead of focusing on the substance of the message.”

Ndume’s remarks underline growing tensions within the APC, as key figures voice dissatisfaction with the direction and inclusivity of President Tinubu’s leadership.
