Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has paid tribute to the late filmmaker and stage producer Kayode Peters on what would have been his 50th birthday. Peters, who passed away in June in Canada, was laid to rest on August 2 at Milton Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario, following a funeral service at McKersie & Early House Funeral Home.

His passing left a void in the Nigerian entertainment industry, with many mourning the loss of a visionary who made significant contributions to both film and stage.

In a heartfelt Instagram post marking Peters’ milestone birthday, Remi reflected on the bond they shared, expressing gratitude for their time together. He also pledged ongoing support for Peters’ family, promising to stand by them through the years.

Remi shared that he treasures their conversations and the memories they created, noting how deeply he misses the late filmmaker. In his message, he wrote: “Happy heavenly 50th birthday, King KP. I will always be grateful for the time spent together. Our love and prayers are with your family. We are here for Alexis and your children. I have plenty stories to share… I’ve shot two films, producing another, lots to discuss about fatherhood… keeping it all for when we meet again.”
