Lagos DPO Collapses And Dies Suddenly In His Office

Olugbenga collapsed in his office on Thursday night and died before he could be taken to a hospital. A police officer from the division, speaking anonymously to Daily Trust, stated that the incident has left the officers at the station in mourning.

 

The officer also confirmed that Olugbenga’s body has been transferred to a mortuary. He stated, “He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, we lost him.” As of the time of this report, the state police command has not yet issued a statement regarding the incident.

 

In other news, the Kano State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested 31-year-old Salisu Bala for allegedly engaging in extortion while impersonating a police officer. According to a statement from SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the spokesperson for the Kano Police Command, Bala, who lived in Kurna Quarters within the Kano metropolis, was apprehended by members of the Police Special Constabulary in Koki Quarters. He was reportedly seen wearing a black police uniform and a camouflage peak cap.

Bala has been accused of defrauding unsuspecting citizens and damaging the reputation of the police force.
