According to allegations, the PDP is recruiting fake Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) operatives agents as part of a frightening strategy. These impostors are luring opposition members from distant locations under the guise of official meetings with high-ranking SWAT officers and police commissioners . The true intention is to forcibly detain these individuals if they resist, thereby putting their lives at grave risk. This tactic is a blatant attempt to suppress opposition voices and undermine the democratic process.

Governor Obaseki’s inflammatory ‘do or die’ remarks at a recent PDP mega rally have given disturbing credence to this violent agenda. His statement, which calls for a ruthless approach to the election, seems to have inspired the PDP’s use of counterfeit SWAT operatives as a tool of intimidation.
