“Tiwa Savage Drops Bombshell: S3x Tape Was Never Accidental”

Afrobeat superstar Tiwa Savage has revealed that the leak of her intimate video in 2021 was the result of a bet between her then-partner and his friends. Speaking in an interview with The Breakfast Club released on Tuesday, the award-winning singer described the incident as one of the most painful experiences of her life.

“When I talked about the sex tape, that was my way of trying to cope with it. But in hindsight, did I really deal with it? I don’t think so. I was hurt… I was a victim,” she said.

Tiwa explained that her boyfriend at the time initially claimed the clip was leaked by accident, alleging he had pressed send while trying to save it. However, she later discovered that it was deliberately shared as part of a bet.

The singer, who faced intense backlash and public scrutiny at the time, noted that the ordeal left lasting scars but also reshaped her outlook on trust and relationships.

Meanwhile, Tiwa Savage also disclosed that she has been celibate for the past three years, following the end of her last relationship. According to her, intimacy is not something she actively craves unless she is in love.

“I have gone three years without sex. It is not something I really like or am crazy about. I have to be in love to have the urge. I don’t even have sex toys. Maybe I need to. Maybe people should get me toys for Christmas,” she added with a laugh.
