Troops Eliminate Scores Of Terrorists, Including Son Of A Notorious Terrorist Bello Turji

Major General Edward Buba, Director Defence Media Operations disclosed this in a statement made available to journalist on Sunday.

He said the operation took place on January 17, 2025 and was a significant blow to the terrorist group, with troops destroying their logistics hub and rescuing several kidnapped hostages held captive by Bello Turji.

He noted that the intensity of the troops’ firepower, resulted in high terrorist casualties, with Bello Turji himself escaping in a cowardly act, abandoning his son and combatants.

Also troops destroyed another terrorist kingpin camp known as Idi Mallam along the Zango Kagara Forest, neutralizing three terrorists and arresting three suspected collaborators.

Items recovered include two machine guns, one AK47 rifle, and a significant amount of ammunition, with 61 rustled cattle and 44 sheep rescued.

Major General Edward Buba added that Troops are sustaining the onslaught against the terrorist and will continue to demonstrate commitment to the safety and protection of all citizens across the country.
