Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, announced the extension in a statement on Saturday. The decision to extend the registration period was made to accommodate candidates who may have faced challenges during the process, particularly regarding security screening measures aimed at addressing cases of fraudulent A’level certificates presented by some DE candidates.
JAMB expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and assured candidates of a more user-friendly process moving forward. Despite the extension, JAMB emphasized its commitment to maintaining strict measures against candidates attempting to use counterfeit certificates.
Furthermore, JAMB clarified that candidates from institutions whose certificates have not been verified, despite repeated requests, will still be permitted to register. This decision underscores JAMB’s dedication to ensuring fairness and integrity in the admissions process.
