Abiodun Cautions Amotekun Operatives Against Misuse Of Power, Reaffirms Security Commitment

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety of residents as he handed over new operational vehicles and motorcycles to the state’s Amotekun Corps. Speaking in Abeokuta on Friday, Abiodun, represented by his Chief of Staff, Toyin Taiwo, emphasized that while the vehicles are crucial for effective operations, the success of the Amotekun Corps depends on discipline, professionalism, and intelligence. Abiodun also stressed the importance of community collaboration for effective intelligence gathering, urging operatives to work closely with local leaders to report suspicious activities. He praised the Corps for complementing other security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace, assuring that the government would continue to support their operations. The newly provided vehicles and motorcycles add to the ones supplied last year, and the Corps plans to recruit additional personnel to strengthen its capacity. Brig. Gen.
