Air Force Targets Arra Hideout, Cripples Terrorist Operations In Sambisa

According to Ireporter Online, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out targeted airstrikes on Arra, a well-known terrorist enclave deep within the Sambisa Forest, following intelligence linking the site to recent insurgent activities. The operation, conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, was executed under the directive of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday, November 19, that the airstrikes were the result of extensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions monitoring terrorist movements after the October 17 ambush at Kashomri. Persistent surveillance over Kashomri and the Sambisa area revealed unusual terrorist activity as well as active command and logistics networks at Arra.

“Based on this intelligence, NAF aircraft engaged the identified targets through coordinated and successive attack runs,” Ejodame explained. He confirmed that all designated targets at the Arra location were successfully neutralized, significantly weakening the terrorists’ operational capacity.

“The strikes destroyed key structures, disrupted command systems, and dismantled their logistics network,” he added, emphasizing that the mission underscores the Air Force’s ongoing commitment to national security and support for ground operations across all conflict zones. Ejodame reaffirmed that the NAF remains dedicated to neutralizing threats, defending Nigeria’s territory, and promoting lasting peace.
