According to Ireporter Online, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major-General Waidi Shaibu, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to tackling the nation’s persistent security challenges. Shaibu gave the assurance on Wednesday during an operational visit to the 1 Division Headquarters in Kaduna, describing the formation as a crucial pillar of Operation Fansan Yamma.

During his address to officers and soldiers, the Army chief praised their resilience and dedication to ongoing military operations nationwide. He noted that the visit formed part of his routine assessment of units under his command.

Shaibu acknowledged the high expectations from the public regarding security but stressed that the military was working relentlessly to produce meaningful results. He maintained that although progress might appear gradual, Nigerians would begin to witness significant improvements in due course.

He further encouraged troops to remain steadfast, professional, and fully committed to their operational mandates, emphasizing that the discipline and loyalty of personnel remain key to achieving national security objectives.
