According to Adewinmbi, the suspect, Micheal Eze, a native of Ebonyi State, was apprehended after the owners of a residence in GRA, Osogbo, reported the theft of their air conditioners.

“After his arrest, he confessed to stealing and selling the air conditioners, each valued at N400,000, to scrap buyers in Osogbo for N5,000 apiece,” Adewinmbi stated.

Furthermore, the commander revealed that two of the stolen air conditioners were recovered from the buyers by the Amotekun operatives.

The suspect has been transferred to the Director of State Security Service for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
