RCCG Unveils Majestic Provincial Auditorium As Symbol Of Faith And Unity

the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lagos Province 64, Magodo-Isheri, Lagos State, has dedicated its newly remodelled auditorium, which church leaders described as a testament to faith, commitment, and community spirit.

Pastor Bisi Akande, who led the dedication service, explained that the project began in 2024 out of the need to provide more worship space while minimizing environmental impact on the surrounding community. He noted that the building was completed in six months through the collective sacrifices of members.

“Today is a special day. We remodelled the church and created a new auditorium where we can worship in a better environment,” Pastor Akande said. “By the grace of God and the dedication of our people, in six months we were able to move into the auditorium. Today, we dedicate it to God as a place of prayer.”

He further observed that the facility has already begun to influence both members and the wider neighborhood positively. “In the few months since we moved in, we saw people draw closer to God. Even the community acknowledges this was made possible by faith,” he added.

Assistant Pastor Michael Folorunsho, who chaired the building committee, recounted how the project grew beyond its original scope. “Our plan was to deroof, raise blocks, and install a roof,” he explained. “But when we opened the roof, we discovered weak walls. We brought the first floor down and re-engineered the structure. What we thought would be three months took six.”

Treasurer and committee member, Olufemi Oguntade, disclosed that about N368 million was spent on the project, funded through offerings, tithes, and voluntary contributions. He noted that the Nehemiah Group, comprising key church members, made monthly donations ranging from N50,000 to N250,000. In addition, the church secured N150 million from Haggai Mortgage Bank to support the project.

The dedication service drew a large congregation of worshippers, church leaders, and invited guests, who described the event as a symbol of God’s faithfulness and the resilience of the RCCG community.
