According to Ireporter Online, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison has overtaken Tesla chief Elon Musk to become the world’s richest person. Ellison’s fortune has now surged to $393 billion, driven largely by Oracle’s impressive earnings from artificial intelligence services.

Musk, who first claimed the top spot in 2021, now trails with an estimated net worth of $385 billion. At 81, Ellison remains Oracle’s largest individual shareholder and has benefited significantly from the company’s stock, which has doubled in value this year amid rising global demand for AI infrastructure.

Ellison’s rise to this level of wealth began in 1977 when he co-founded Oracle after dropping out of college. Beyond the tech world, he owns most of the Hawaiian island of Lana’i and is credited with reviving the Indian Wells tennis tournament in California, often referred to as the “fifth slam.”
