Uber Driver Fatally Stabbed By Hoodlums, Body Left On Roadside

Confirming the incident to PUNCH Metro on Monday, the union’s chairman, Jaiyesinmi Azeez, revealed that Ayinde had accepted a ride request via the e-hailing app and was ambushed at the pick-up location by a group of hoodlums.

Azeez stated, “Comrade Yusfat Olawale Ayinde, a respected member and admin of the Professional Chauffeur body in Lagos, was tragically killed in a brutal attack by unknown individuals. Our investigation shows that Ayinde received a ride request, but upon arrival, he was ambushed, fatally stabbed, and his vehicle was stolen.”

Reports indicate that Ayinde’s body was abandoned along Agidingbi Road in Ikeja before being transported to the morgue.
