Annie Breaks Silence On 2Baba Reconciliation Rumours

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed widespread rumours suggesting she has reconciled with her former husband, music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face.

According to Ireporter Online, speculation about the former couple rekindling their relationship gained momentum after an old video showing them enjoying themselves together at a nightclub resurfaced on social media. The viral clip also fueled unverified claims that the pair were expecting a third child together.

Reacting to the reports via her Instagram Story, Annie described the circulating videos as outdated and dismissed the accompanying reports as false. She stated that old clips were being shared online while inaccurate stories about her personal life continued to spread.

Annie and 2Baba, who have two daughters together, ended their marriage in January 2025 after being together for more than a decade. Following the separation, the veteran singer married Edo State politician Natasha Osaworu.

Meanwhile, Annie recently addressed another social media controversy after receiving criticism for reacting to a post announcing the birth of a child to celebrity fashion designer Luminee and actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

The actress had left a heart emoji in the comment section as a congratulatory gesture, but the reaction sparked criticism from some social media users because of Baba Ijesha’s previous conviction in a child sexual assault case.

Responding to the backlash, Annie said she was surprised by the negative reactions, insisting that she had no knowledge of the issues surrounding the couple. She explained that her only connection was with Luminee, who had designed an outfit for her a few months earlier.

According to the actress, she simply came across the birth announcement on her timeline and congratulated the new mother with a heart emoji, maintaining that she was unaware of any personal circumstances involving Luminee or her relationship with Baba Ijesha.
