Barryshine’s Empire Shaken As NDLEA Declares Four Of His Drug Ring Members Wanted

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has declared four associates of notorious Lagos drug kingpin, Alhaji Suleiman Aremu Ganiu, also known as Barryshine or Ejeoto, wanted for their roles in extensive drug trafficking operations. This declaration comes following an order by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court, Lagos, empowering the NDLEA to issue public notices featuring the photographs of the suspects. The wanted individuals are:

1. Olarenwaju Ramon Abdulai (a.k.a. Alhaji Loyingbo)
2. Oluwafemi Akande Abidoye (a.k.a. Igbono, Baba Eje, Ade Iwaya, Femi Iwaya)
3. Olumuyiwa Olufemi Ilori (a.k.a. Murphy)
4. Alate Kafy Zakare Bukki of Kaffy Travels

The court’s directive was part of case no: FHC/L/731C/2024, granting the NDLEA permission to publicize the suspects’ involvement in drug trafficking activities linked to Barryshine.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, revealed that Barryshine, the Managing Director/CEO of Barryshine Suleiman Nigeria Ltd, was apprehended on August 26, 2024. He had been under surveillance for two years due to his suspected role in four foiled cocaine export attempts to Saudi Arabia and Qatar via Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, between 2022 and 2024. Several of his drug couriers have already been arrested, prosecuted, and convicted.
