According to IReporter Online, Blessing, who is reportedly the businessman’s first child, made the allegations in a series of social media posts while appealing for the safe release of her father.

She claimed that her brother’s public display of wealth and lavish lifestyle created the impression that the family had access to substantial financial resources, which she alleged may have influenced the kidnappers’ ransom demands.

According to Blessing, the kidnappers initially demanded ₦700 million but later increased the ransom to ₦1.5 billion. She argued that the family could not raise such an amount, particularly amid what she described as significant financial obligations.

The distressed daughter also accused Jowizaza of previously mishandling their father’s business affairs, claiming that he was eventually removed as a director and placed on a monthly salary of ₦1 million.

She further questioned the apparent disparity between her brother’s public image and the family’s alleged financial situation, claiming that he did not have ₦100 million readily available despite his social media portrayal.

Blessing argued that the family’s perceived wealth may have made the kidnappers believe that a huge ransom could be paid for their father’s release.

She expressed frustration over what she described as the consequences of displaying wealth that the family allegedly did not possess, saying the situation had placed the life of her father at greater risk.

The businessman’s daughter also claimed that the family was facing debts running into billions of naira, including obligations to financial institutions.

She appealed to the kidnappers to reconsider their demands and release her father, stressing that he requires medication and that she feared for his safety.

Blessing said she had decided to speak publicly because she wanted the kidnappers to understand the family’s alleged financial limitations rather than assume that the ransom being demanded was readily available.

She also criticised bloggers for allegedly exaggerating the family’s wealth and warned against portraying them as more financially comfortable than they are.

The emotional appeal comes as the family continues to seek the safe release of Chief Joseph Ezeokafor, with Blessing urging all parties involved to consider his health and wellbeing.
