According to Ireporter Online, the actor shared the account during a podcast interview with Ifedayo Agoro, explaining that the incident happened before a Sunday service began when he arrived early and met some church ministers.

He stated that he greeted a female pastor and gave her a hug, but noticed what he described as an unusual shaking in her body. Moments later, he said he experienced a similar sensation while seated in the auditorium, despite no ongoing prayer or deliverance session at the time.

Effiong explained that the feeling intensified unexpectedly, eventually leading to him losing control and falling to the floor near his seat before the service officially commenced. He added that his wife, who was seated beside him, witnessed the incident and was equally surprised by what transpired.

The actor noted that the experience left both of them confused initially, as they could not immediately explain what had happened. He further stated that the moment stayed with him and later influenced deeper reflections on his spiritual life and beliefs, describing it as something he could not fully explain logically.

He was quoted as saying that after hugging the female pastor, both of them experienced shaking, which escalated until he fell, stressing that there was no planned spiritual programme ongoing at the time. He added that while interpretations may differ, he personally viewed the incident as a significant spiritual encounter in his faith journey.
