In this decisive moment in our political journey, we must once again come together—not as fragmented interests or as followers of empty promises—but as a united, determined, and forward-looking people who understand the value of tested leadership, visionary courage, and proven results.

Today, we rise to speak in one voice for His Excellency, Comrade, Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, a man whose name is etched deeply in the story of Edo State and Nigeria at large. A man whose legacy of service, sacrifice, and solidarity continues to illuminate the path for progressive governance in our land. A man who has never betrayed the people’s trust and who has always placed the interest of the masses above the comfort of the elite.

Comrade Oshiomhole is not just a politician—he is a movement. He is our voice, our shield, our rallying point, and our pride.

Why We Must Stand Firm Behind Senator Oshiomhole
Let us remember:

When Akoko-Edo was forgotten by successive governments, it was an Oshiomhole, as Governor, who recognized us. He built roads, revived schools, empowered youths, and ensured our communities were not left behind. He was the first to treat Akoko-Edo as part of Edo—not as an afterthought but as a priority.

As a labour leader, he stood fearlessly against injustice and, in doing so, uplifted the lives of millions of workers across Nigeria.

As Governor of Edo State, he redefined leadership—introducing people-focused policies, delivering infrastructure in both urban and rural communities, and restoring dignity to the average Edo citizen.

As National Chairman of the APC, he built the bridge between the party and the people, ensuring democracy was not just preached but practiced.

And now, in the Senate, he has continued to represent us with intelligence, tenacity, and a deep understanding of governance. His voice carries weight. His presence commands respect. And his actions speak louder than the rhetoric of career politicians.

Reject Political Opportunists – They Have Nothing to Offer
We must now be vigilant. There are some lurking in the shadows—undemocratic forces, political opportunists, and recycled failures—seeking to reap where they did not sow. These individuals had their chance. They had the platform. But they did nothing for our people. They ignored our cries. They disappeared when it mattered most.

Now they come with sweet words and old tricks, trying to deceive the people of Akoko-Edo. Let us be clear: the cards they are trying to sell are outdated, tasteless, and rejected by time itself.

Akoko-Edo is not a land of political experimentation. We have tested leadership. We have Comrade Oshiomhole—a man who never turned his back on us. Why should we turn ours on him?

Beyond 2027: Oshiomhole Is the Leadership We Need
We must think beyond today and beyond 2027. The challenges facing Edo North and Nigeria are too critical to be left in the hands of untested men. We need:

Stability

Courage

Political influence

Progressive ideas

And above all, a track record of performance

Comrade Oshiomhole possesses all of these—and more. He has consistently demonstrated commitment, resilience, and patriotic leadership in every role he has served. His name opens doors, his voice moves policies, and his leadership commands respect even at the highest level of governance.
