Sowore Explodes: Demands Ned Nwoko’s Arrest Over Sh*cking Human Rights Allegations

Human rights advocate and former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has demanded the immediate suspension and arrest of the Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, following a series of allegations bordering on human rights violations, cross-border exploitation, and the misuse of state security institutions.

Sowore made the call in a video shared on his account on Sunday, stating that the issues surrounding the lawmaker extend far beyond the reported unlawful detention of Regina Daniels’ brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West. According to Ireporter Online, he insisted the situation reflects a deeper and longstanding pattern of alleged abuses.

He alleged that Nwoko had, over the years, been linked to several acts of rights violations, allegedly carried out with the backing of certain police operatives whom he described as disgraced officers serving as the Senator’s personal enforcers. Sowore claimed that during one of his earlier detentions, he met several individuals who said they had been imprisoned at the Senator’s instruction.

The activist further narrated instances in which Nwoko allegedly weaponised police authority to intimidate families, including a case where a woman’s father was allegedly seized during a disagreement. He maintained that numerous communities had publicly accused the lawmaker of using the police to silence dissent.

Sowore warned that political office holders must be held accountable irrespective of their financial or political influence. He accused Nwoko of involvement in alleged cross-border activities, claiming the lawmaker brought underage girls from countries such as Morocco into Nigeria for exploitation.

He clarified that his criticism was not an attempt to defend Regina Daniels but a stance against what he described as systemic abuse of political and security power. He cited the arrest of TikTok content creator Timothy Gabriel, known as Turmar, who he said was detained and brutalised after making remarks about Regina Daniels’ children.

Sowore also revisited his 2021 experience, alleging that nine detainees he met in prison were people jailed over a land dispute linked to Nwoko’s Sports University project. He accused the Nigeria Police Force of enabling the Senator, claiming officers frequently visited his residence and acted inappropriately on his behalf.

According to Ireporter Online, Sowore stressed that his call for Nwoko’s arrest is part of a wider campaign against entrenched impunity, abuse of office, and human rights violations within Nigeria’s political and security systems.
