Tension In Lagos Island: One Feared Dead In Mandilas Market Brawl

A violent altercation erupted on Wednesday in the Mandilas area of Lagos Island, resulting in the death of one person following a stabbing incident.
According to IReporter Online, the conflict began as a disagreement between two young men over how to divide money earned from a recent job.
The argument quickly escalated into violence, and one of the individuals allegedly stabbed the other, who later succumbed to his injuries. According to IReporter Online, nearby residents intervened and reportedly beat the suspect before handing him over to the police.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed that a suspect has been arrested and assured that calm has been restored in the area. However, tensions remained high as friends of the deceased expressed anger over the incident, sparking additional scuffles.
According to IReporter Online, security forces have since increased their presence in the area to prevent further unrest.
