Speaking in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun State, during a ceremony honoring contributors to community development in Okeluse, Ondo State, Oluyamo emphasized the importance of holding terrorism sponsors accountable. He noted that such actions would deter others from engaging in criminal activities.

Citing the December 16, 2024, raid in Ilesa, where the Department of State Services arrested 10 suspected ISWAP members, the bishop stressed the need for stronger security in Ijesaland and urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.

Oluyamo also commended President Tinubu for recent strides in national security, acknowledging gradual improvements in peace and stability across the country.

Development Awards Ceremony
During the ceremony, 34 members of The Peace Ambassadors, a community-focused group founded over 40 years ago in Okeluse, were recognized for their contributions. Notable awardees included Prof. Foluso Owoade and Prof. Sunday Oluyamo, who have significantly advanced development in their hometown.

Responding on behalf of the recipients, Oluyamo expressed gratitude and stated that the recognition would inspire further efforts toward community progress.
