DJ Neptune Warns Singers Against Reckless Spending: “You Might Not Be In The Game For More Than 10 Years”
DJ Neptune has issued a stern warning to fellow musicians about the dangers of reckless spending. During an interview on the Zero Conditions Podcast, the renowned singer and disc jockey highlighted the importance of financial prudence for artists, especially during their peak years.
Neptune advised his colleagues to avoid the common pitfall of believing that fame will last forever. He stressed that many artists fail to save or invest their earnings, leading to financial difficulties once their popularity wanes.
“Artists often think fame is permanent, which is why they don’t save or invest their money while they’re on top. It’s crucial to have a side income or invest in properties,” Neptune said. “Only a few manage to stay relevant for more than five to ten years. If you don’t adapt and plan for the future, you might find yourself struggling once your star fades.”
The warning underscores a prevalent issue in the music industry where temporary fame can lead to long-term financial instability if not managed wisely.
