The race for the knockout phase of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has intensified, with six nations already securing their places in the Round of 32 after just two group-stage matches, while four teams have been eliminated from the competition.

According to Ireporter Online, co-hosts Mexico and United States are among the early qualifiers, joining Germany, Argentina, France, and Norway in confirming their progression to the knockout stage.

Mexico became the first side to qualify after back-to-back victories over South Africa and Korea Republic in Group A, topping their group and setting up a Round of 32 clash with a third-placed team on June 30 in Mexico City. United States followed with wins over Paraguay and Australia in Group D, sealing first place and booking a last-32 meeting in the San Francisco Bay Area on July 1.

In Group E, Germany secured qualification with consecutive wins against Curaçao and Côte d’Ivoire, finishing top of their group and advancing to face a third-placed side in Boston on June 29. Defending champions Argentina also progressed early after dominant performances inspired by captain Lionel Messi, with wins over Algeria and Austria confirming their place at the summit of Group J and a Round of 32 clash in Miami.
