Breaking: Today’s Dollar To Naira Rate Revealed – June 19, 2026
The Dollar to Naira exchange rate at the parallel market, popularly known as the black market or Aboki FX, remained under close watch as traders continued foreign exchange transactions across major markets in Nigeria.
According to market information obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos, the United States Dollar exchanged at ₦1,405 per dollar for selling transactions and ₦1,393 per dollar for buying transactions on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The latest figures reflect the prevailing rates in the parallel market, where individuals and businesses unable to access official foreign exchange channels often conduct transactions. However, exchange rates may vary across locations and dealers depending on market conditions and the volume of transactions.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has consistently maintained that it does not recognize the parallel market for foreign exchange dealings. The apex bank has advised Nigerians seeking forex transactions to utilize authorized financial institutions and licensed banking channels.
At the official market, the CBN recorded the Dollar to Naira exchange rate with a highest rate of ₦1,366 and a lowest rate of ₦1,361.
Market observers also noted that actual buying and selling prices may differ slightly from the quoted figures due to fluctuations in demand, supply, and individual dealer pricing.
