Beverly Osu Reveals Why She Once Wanted To Become A Reverend Sister

According to Ireporter Online, actress and reality TV star Beverly Osu has disclosed that she once aspired to become a Reverend Sister before venturing into the entertainment industry.

Osu made the revelation during an appearance on the CreativiTea Podcast, where she explained that her time in a Catholic school in Enugu significantly shaped her early aspirations. She noted that she had once been deeply committed to the idea of religious life, describing it as a genuine childhood ambition.

The actress further revealed that her admiration for the discipline, orderliness, and appearance of Catholic priests and nuns influenced her interest at the time. She said her personality, which she described as meticulous and neat, made her particularly drawn to their way of life.

Osu also reflected on her upbringing in Lagos, stating that she was raised in a strict Catholic environment while living across areas such as Surulere, Yaba, and Ojuelegba. She emphasized that her upbringing was strongly rooted in Catholic values.

Addressing public reactions to a previous photoshoot where she appeared dressed as a Reverend Sister, Osu maintained that the concept was purely artistic and not intended to provoke controversy. She added that public interpretation often distorts her intentions, insisting that she has never deliberately sought attention through controversy but has simply expressed herself authentically.
