If You Have Anything Against Me, Say It Now!” — Peter Obi Challenges Nigerians

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has challenged Nigerians at home and abroad to publicly disclose any information they may have against him as he prepares for the 2027 general elections.

According to Ireporter Online, Obi made the remarks on Thursday during a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he addressed issues surrounding leadership, political campaigns and the forthcoming elections.

The former Anambra State governor said Nigerians have the right to know the background and credentials of anyone seeking to govern them, stressing that candidates should be prepared to respond directly to questions about their past.

Obi also criticised the practice of political candidates relying on others to campaign on their behalf, insisting that leadership responsibilities cannot be delegated.

He challenged anyone in Nigeria or abroad who has information or allegations against him to make them public, saying he was prepared to respond to such claims.

The former presidential candidate also recalled a previous legal dispute in which he took an individual to court after the person allegedly claimed to possess information about him that would shock the public.

Turning his attention to the 2027 general elections, Obi warned against electoral malpractice and stressed the importance of ensuring that every legitimate vote is counted.

He called on Nigerians to remain vigilant during the electoral process, arguing that the credibility of the election would depend largely on respect for the votes cast by citizens.

Obi maintained that Nigerians must have the opportunity to freely choose their leaders and that those seeking public office should be ready to engage directly with the people rather than rely on political surrogates.
