Joeboy Reveals Why He’d Keep His Marriage Private

Afrobeats singer Joeboy has opened up about his views on marriage, revealing that he would prefer to get married early but keep his union away from the public eye.

According to Ireporter Online, the singer made the disclosure during an interview with British media personality Madame Joyce, where he discussed his thoughts on marriage, timing and maintaining privacy in his personal life.

Joeboy said he would rather marry at a relatively young age but would not immediately announce the union publicly. He suggested that he could keep his marriage private until he has several children, allowing the public to discover much later that he has a family.

The singer explained that, although he is attracted to the idea of marrying young, he does not believe such a decision should be influenced by societal expectations, trends or the opinions of others.

According to him, marriage should ultimately be based on genuine love and the personal conviction that the relationship is right.

Joeboy said his perspective on early marriage was further influenced by an interview he watched involving Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson, who reportedly expressed regret about not getting married earlier despite his public image as a ladies’ man.

The musician said the actor’s comments made him reconsider the possibility that marrying early could have its own advantages.

Joeboy also revealed that he finds the idea of being in his 40s while having a teenage child appealing. He said marrying early to someone he genuinely loves and having a teenage child later in life would be something he considers desirable.

The singer, however, stressed that marriage is not the only measure of a person’s identity, noting that the decision should ultimately be based on love and what feels right for the individuals involved.
