Dayo Amusa Blasts Peter Obi: “You Can’t Criticize Government And Hide Your Plans

According to Ireporter Online, Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has criticized the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, over his recent remarks on how he intends to address Nigeria’s persistent electricity and security challenges if elected president.

The actress’ reaction followed Obi’s recent interview with broadcaster Rufai Oseni, during which the former Anambra State governor declined to provide detailed explanations of his proposed strategies when questioned about how he would implement his campaign promises.

Reacting via her social media platform, Amusa argued that any individual aspiring to lead Nigeria must be prepared to clearly outline both their plans and the methods for executing them. She stressed that it is not sufficient for political figures to highlight government shortcomings without offering concrete solutions to the public.

She further maintained that presidential candidates owe Nigerians full disclosure of their governance plans, insisting that voters deserve clarity on what alternatives would be introduced if given the mandate to govern.

Questioning Obi’s decision to withhold specific details of his approach, Amusa stated that transparency is essential in leadership, adding that Nigerians have the right to know what any aspirant intends to do differently.
