According to Ireporter Online, Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper, David Raya, has signed an improved contract with the North London club following his outstanding performances between the posts.

The Spanish shot-stopper, who completed a permanent move from Brentford in the summer of 2024, reportedly agreed to revised terms that include a salary increase from his previous £100,000-per-week deal. Though the club has yet to issue an official statement, sources close to the negotiations confirmed that the new agreement was finalised earlier this summer.

Raya’s latest contract does not extend beyond the existing 2028 expiration date but includes an option for an additional term. The revised deal is understood to be a reward for his consistent displays since becoming Arsenal’s undisputed No. 1 under manager Mikel Arteta.

Since joining on loan from Brentford in 2023, Raya has established himself as one of the Premier League’s elite goalkeepers. He claimed the Golden Glove in his debut season and retained the accolade last term, sharing the honour with Nottingham Forest’s Mats Sels after another string of impressive clean sheets.

Arsenal continue to focus on securing the futures of their core players. Reports indicate that centre-back William Saliba has signed a new five-year contract, while Gabriel Magalhaes extended his stay until 2029. Negotiations are ongoing with Jurrien Timber for a long-term deal, while discussions with Bukayo Saka are reportedly in the final stages, fueling optimism over his imminent contract renewal.
