2Baba Reveals Son Rejects Music Path As New Baby Arrives In His Home
According to Ireporter Online, veteran Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has shared that his eldest son, Nino, has no plans to pursue a career in music despite his impressive talent as a saxophonist. The singer made the disclosure while introducing Nino on stage during an event in Abuja held in honour of his 25-year career milestone.
Addressing the audience, 2Baba encouraged cheers for his son before revealing that Nino hopes to become a medical doctor rather than follow his path in entertainment. Nino, born on January 15, 2006, is 2Baba’s first child with his former partner, Sumbo Adeoye.
In a separate development, 2Baba and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have welcomed a baby boy. Speculation surrounding the birth built up on Friday after Osawaru was reportedly spotted at a hospital, sparking rumours about labour. The lawmaker later confirmed the news through a brief message on her official Facebook page, announcing that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
The announcement drew widespread congratulatory messages from admirers and supporters. The child’s arrival marks a significant moment in the couple’s relationship, which has attracted public attention since they formalised their union earlier this year following 2Baba’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.
Their relationship has been followed closely by the public, beginning with a Valentine’s Eve proposal and progressing through family engagements and traditional rites. In July, they held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja attended by close relatives, solidifying their new chapter together.
