Nigerian entertainer Portable has publicly challenged heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua to a potential bout, declaring his readiness to step into the ring for a ₦1 billion prize. According to reports, the controversial singer made the bold declaration on Thursday during a face-off event ahead of his scheduled celebrity boxing match against content creator Carter Efe.

Speaking with confidence about his fighting prowess, Portable described himself as a dominant force in Nigeria’s celebrity boxing scene, insisting that no contender could strip him of his self-proclaimed title. He directly addressed Joshua during the event, stating that he would defeat the former world champion if the financial stakes were met.

The singer is set to face Carter Efe in an exhibition boxing match slated for Friday at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Reports indicate that Portable had earlier disclosed receiving ₦40 million as part of the agreement for the bout. He further claimed that businessman E-Money and music executive Soso Soberekon pledged additional incentives, including ₦50 million and a car, contingent on his victory.

Carter Efe, on his part, reportedly accepted the fight after being informed that the winner would earn a ₦50 million prize. Portable has continued to build a reputation within the celebrity boxing circuit, having secured notable victories in recent years, including wins over social media personality Speed Darlington, Nollywood actor Charles Okocha, and Kelvin Power, a bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel.
