JUST IN: One More Edo Train Attack Victim Released
According to the Edo State Police Command, one more victim of the Igueben train station kidnapping has been rescued.
The police announced this on Tuesday, just hours after saying that six of the abductees had been rescued about 48 hours after the attack on Saturday.
On Saturday afternoon, gunmen attacked a train station in Igueben, Edo, kidnapping over 30 passengers.
The attack on Saturday happened months after terrorists attacked a moving train in Kaduna State on March 28, 2022. Hundreds of passengers were kidnapped and others were killed in the heinous attack, which sparked national and international outrage. The kidnapped victims, on the other hand, were freed, with the last batch released in October 2022.
